Interactive online Quran classes for kids, live on Zoom

A private 30-minute class with a teacher who marks the slide with a digital pen while your child reads, listens and answers.

  • Live one-to-one on Zoom
  • Digital pen and on-screen slides
  • Free 3-day trial class

What do we mean by interactive?

Interactive means your child is doing something in every minute of the class. The teacher is not playing a video, and your child is not sitting through a lecture. Ustadha Ayesha Azmat teaches live, one-to-one, and responds to what your child says as they say it.

If a letter comes from the wrong place, she hears it at once and shows the right sound. If a child reads a line well, she says so and moves on. That quick, personal back and forth is what a screen can do well, and it is why we teach this way.

How do the digital pen and slides work?

The teacher shares her screen on Zoom. On it are slides for the day's lesson: letters, words or lines of the Quran, large enough to read easily.

  • She marks the slide with a digital pen, circling a letter, underlining a madd or showing where to pause.
  • The child reads aloud from the slide, and then again after correction.
  • The same slide is used to revise earlier work, so nothing is left behind.

For young children, the colors and simple pictures keep attention on the lesson. For older children, the slide becomes a clean line of the Quran with the rules marked.

How are children kept encouraged?

Children learn better when they feel safe to make mistakes. In class, the teacher uses positive reinforcement and reward stickers, praising effort as well as correct reading. Classes also include daily duas, manners and stories of the Prophets, so the 30 minutes feel varied rather than repetitive.

You can see how the lessons are arranged in the curriculum, starting with Noorani Qaida and moving through Tajweed, fluent reading and daily prayer.

You do not need special equipment.

  • A computer, laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, and the Zoom app.
  • A stable internet connection.
  • A quiet place for 30 minutes, with a parent nearby for young children.
  • A Quran or a printed Qaida, if you have one. If not, the slides are enough to begin.

Classes are private one-to-one, and parents are welcome to sit nearby. We suggest a parent stays close for young children. Ask the academy how a class is run before you enroll.

What to expect

Online teaching works well for many children, but progress varies with age, practice at home and regularity of classes. Short daily practice matters as much as the class itself. After the trial class, the teacher will describe a realistic pace.

Classes are booked around your time zone in the USA, the UK, Canada or Australia. Ask for a free 3-day trial, subject to teacher availability, or read about our teachers.

Questions about best kids quran in United States

Are the classes live or recorded?

Classes are live. The teacher and your child are on Zoom at the same time, one-to-one, so she can listen to your child read and correct them straight away. A class is 30 minutes long, booked at a time that suits your family's time zone.

Can young children really learn the Quran on a screen?

Many can, when the class is short, active and warm. The 30-minute format, the colored slides and reward stickers are meant to suit young attention spans. We suggest a parent stays close for young children, and the teacher will tell you honestly after the trial whether the format suits your child.

What device does my child need?

A computer, laptop or tablet with a camera, microphone and the Zoom app is enough, together with a steady internet connection. A phone screen is small for reading Arabic lines, so a larger screen is better when possible. Ask us on WhatsApp at +92 305 9637306 if you are unsure.

How will I know how my child is doing?

Parents can sit nearby and see the class. The Foundations plan includes a monthly progress report, and for the other plans you can ask the teacher for progress updates. After the trial class she will describe a realistic pace for your child.

What if we are traveling or miss a class?

Classes can be rescheduled when a family travels, with notice. Message the academy as early as you can so a new time can be found around your time zone. You can also ask about weekend slots when you request the free trial.
